In December last year, JW Anderson immortalised the words of Oscar Wilde in a specially dedicated capsule collection that payed homage to the legendary Irish wit. Continuing where he left off is a new collection that builds on the strength of the first, with an expanded array of items arriving in time for the final days of summer.

This collection was originally driven by creative director Jonathan Anderson‘s admiration for Wilde, not just for his enduring literary works but his bravery and audacity to be different. In keeping with that theme, Anderson channels the subversive spirit of Wilde’s gay, rebellious and largely outspoken life into a collection emblazoned with one of Wilde’s many aphorisms: “The key for life is in art.”

Repeated in a graffiti-inspired motif across hoodies, shirts, trousers, bucket hats, dresses, a parka and a gold chain necklace, the collection is as versatile as it is vibrant, celebrating a man who Anderson refers to as a “cultural agitator” by aligning his legacy with a brand that is committed to challenging the status quo.
