Hedi Slimane has cast British actor and HERO 14 star Thomas Sangster as the latest face of his Celine Homme Portrait of an Actor series.

While many will recognise Sangster as the kid who jumps over the airport barrier in Love Actually, the actor has further punctuated the collective conscious via recent parts in Game of Thrones, Wolf Hall and Netflix’s hugely popular new chess-themed show, The Queen’s Gambit – (Sangster also stars in the latest music video for excellent South London band Hotel Lux).

Photographed in Paris by Slimane in December 2020, here the designer casts the actor in his synonymous black and white framing. Donning tailoring looks and pieces from Celine’s Winter 2020 show, including a sharp-brimmed fedora, aviators and slim-line suit, the imagery evokes a classic timelessness throughout.

The imagery comes accompanied by a short video (below) showing Sangster wearing the Celine Homme classic double-breasted suit and soundtracked by Peace Chord, the solo project of Crack Cloud member Daniel Robertson.
