Loewe offers a sneak peek at its SS19 campaign shot by Steven Meisel

During Paris Fashion Week Mens back in June, Loewe released a series of imagery previewing its SS19 campaign – before any clothes had even hit the runway. Following on from this comes another sneak peek, this time an accompanying three-part sneak peak campaign for its womenswear offering, again shot by legendary photographer Steven Meisel.

The imagery follows in the vein of Jonathan Anderson‘s vision at the Spanish house since taking over in 2013, not only by drawing upon the visual codes of long-term collaborator Steven Meisel but in its evocation of seaside, travel and leisure. Both on the runway and in his collaborations with Ibiza’s chicest boutique Paula’s, the sun has nourished much of Loewe’s identity over the past five years and this campaign is no different. Three models stand against a picturesque backdrop of turquoise waters and pristine skies, bare-footed and beach-ready, while another image sees model Nora Attal impersonating Meisel through pose and attire, mirroring the photographer’s penchant for large furry headwear. The third image is a still-life of Loewe’s latest bag, the Gate Grid, inspired by the great Charles Rennie Mackintosh in it’s lattice design and set to hit stores mid-November.

All images will be distributed across Paris, plastered onto kiosks and displayed on a billboard outside of Loewe’s left bank showroom and studio, prior to Loewe’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection at 8.30am on September 28.
