Pet Shop Boys front the new Dior Homme SS18 campaign

Kris Van Assche‘s love of all things 80s is no secret – just rewind to his Haçienda-inspired SS17 collection, or flick through the recent Dior Homme campaigns starring Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan and Boy George. Now, the Belgian designer has tapped Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe to front the Dior Homme SS18 campaign.

Kitted out in the Parisian house’s latest collection, the London duo appear alongside rising American actor Charlie Plummer – star of All The Money In the World – and new faces Andreas Wolf, Henry Rausch and Anton Jaeger. Together, the cast are the perfect personification of Van Assche’s aesthetic: taking nostalgic tropes and weaving them into contemporary youth codes to create a subversive timeline of cultural markers.

Shot by David Sims and styled by Mauricio Nardi, the images celebrate Van Assche’s ten-year anniversary at the storied house while paying homage to Christian Dior himself by including long-stemmed red roses, referencing the founder’s love of flora.
