AMI are no stranger to welcoming icons to their runway (remember Audrey Tautou for SS23?) and this season the French house enlisted the help of Vincent Cassel to set the tone, sporting a black double-breasted coat, semi-sheer top, and slouchy pinstriped trousers – iconique.

Synonymous with Parisian chic, Ami continued their foray into simplicity and sincerity this season. Centring on 90s minimalism, silhouettes were cut close to the body, shoulders pronounced and lines fluid. Menswear continues to evolve in polished tailoring as impeccably cut blazers were worn alongside skimpy leather shorts, paired with neckties for the perfect nonchalant companion. The introduction of sequins to the collection bought a playful air as pastel sage green shirts were made party-ready and silver trousers glistened amid the marbled interior of the Stade Pierre de Coubertin arena.

Meanwhile, womenswear’s sensuality was amped up through elusive plays on transparency as thigh-high splits were met with midriff-baring tops, leather was fashioned into pleated skirts and blouses were sophisticatedly sheer. Understated silky pastels stood alongside AMI’s signature all-black ensembles in a welcoming salute to summer in the city.

Speaking on this season’s collection, Mattiussi notes; “AMI has worked since its creation to define and complete the most articulate, comprehensive, and pragmatic wardrobe. Naturally, this is an evolving concept, in connection with reality. AMI is rooted in the real world, our clothes are made to be worn and enjoyed, to be mixed-and-matched, our collections are meant to live.”
