Riviera fit

Tod’s SS24 delivered casual tailoring at its finest

Set against the backdrop of Villa Necchi, a historic Milanese art deco residence with an ornate leafy green garden, Tod’s SS24 offering was quintessentially Italian in both aesthetic and craft. Prioritising the casual tailoring which underpins the Italian house’s timeless practice, silhouettes were relaxed in warm hues of brown, beige and ecru as classic cuts were given a contemporary edge. Fit for the Riviera, revere collar shirts were paired with slim-fit trousers alongside two-tone bomber jackets and mesh polo tops – picture Jude Law in The Talented Mr Ripley.

Materials ranged from delicate leather to sumptuous suede as artisan techniques were prioritised, a recurring triangular leather motif appeared on cotton outerwear and belts were crafted in woven leather and accented by the T Timeless buckle. On foot, the iconic Gommino transforms the traditional driving shoe into a modern silhouette while moccasins once again exemplify the brand’s craftsmanship via handmade leather construction, and Tabs Sneakers offer a casual alternative built from double linen and refined leather.
