Bringing things back to basic – not in the minimal sense – Marine Serre’s SS24 ode to nightlife focused on the animalistic expression of love only found on the dance floor – caught in a moment soundtracked by thumping bass.

Keeping things on theme, guests lined up behind barricades as if attending a gig while a star-studded runway cast arrived with Teyana Taylor opening the show in a form-fitting dress crafted from pleated scarves and upcycled t-shirts followed by the likes of Noah Cyrus, Aaron Piper, Brooke Candy and Miguel. One particularly hirsute guest appeared looking like Cousin It – we can only assume it was Tommy Cash.

Looks spoke to the freedom of dressing up for a night out: patchwork crochet was fashioned into mini dresses, belted trench coats in shimmering silver leather and hibiscus prints were inspired by holidaying in Hawaii. Reworked beach towels were delicately draped into unisex skirts, grey-washed camo print was crafted in technical silhouettes, and elegant tailoring was executed via all-black suiting – for those classy nights. Denim was a symbol of the impromptu party-goers, remixing iconic shapes in deadstock fabric as five-pocket styles, twisted seams, mini-skirts, boxy vests, and short dresses were adorned with the designer’s iconic moon crescent logo. Immediately after the show we went out, obviously.
