Titled L’oasi di Lino which translates to Lightness of being and behaving, for SS24 Zegna is offering a new perspective. Always on a design path which begins with the fibres of fabrics, linen was the material of choice this season as effortless ensembles breezed their way down the runway. Not just present in the clothes, 192 bales of raw linen surrounded the show location of Milan’s Piazza San Fedele, which will all be transported back to the factory to produce Oasi Lino products – a testament to the brand’s commitment to a circular design process.

Fluid silhouettes arrived in the form of deconstructed jackets with low-standing collars, round-neck tops that replaced jackets, and bombers that transitioned into shirts. While the breeziness of linen was a constant, texture was equally felt in striped jacquard motifs, supple knitwear and a new iteration of the iconic Triple Stitch shoe in an espadrille style crafted from natural fibres. As for the colour palette, neutral hues of chocolate brown and ecru melted into vibrant peaches and burnt oranges with hints of mint green and charcoal grey peppered throughout.
