9 LCM AW14 HERO MAGAZINE JAMES LONG BACKSTAGE HARRY CARR FW14 Look

Leaving the classical fare of men’s fashion week far behind, we blasted upwards to the stellar heights of James Long’s modern menswear, with a new wave of sci-fi influenced tailoring.

Models marched to beats from Lou Reed’s ‘Satellite of Love’, with hemet-hair adorned in paint box blue cling wrap, accentuating the futuristic feel of the collection.

A luxe sports edge dominated as expected, his use of quilted black and blue satin and high sheen calf skin was space age at it’s most
fashionable. The perfect bomber and jogger combo was there as usual, as were laceless sneakers and immaculately cut pants.

A further delve into his obsession with bricolage opened up an alluring way for men to wear opposing textures and effects in a single outfit.
