paisley rhythms
A wardrobe for the cultured wanderer, Etro’s SS26 collection was formed around unstructured lines, easeful shapes, and subtle artistic decoration. “He is a passionate aesthete, a connoisseur of distant cultures, a collector who envisions new paths even in the quiet of his private space,” read the show notes as a vivid description of this season’s man. Weightless tailoring flowed in washed silks, jacquards, and cottons as robe coats and printed silk pyjamas hinted at louche living. Many pieces were decorated with elaborate paisley rhythms that veered from the tranquil to the psychedelic. As part of the collection’s launch event, Italian artist Lucamaleonte created a live artwork in realtime, drawing inspiration from the collection’s graphic print.
