Inside Milan’s Casa Degli Artisti, Canali presented a SS24 collection designed around the idea of “gentleness.” Against a minimalist backdrop, an artful, craft-inspired approach saw deconstructed, fluid silhouettes rendered in soft, sophisticated fabrications. Titled Mediterranean Craft, this season emphasised Canali’s ethos of producing entirely in Italy, consciously shortening the brand’s supply chain while celebrating local artisan skills.

Seamless garments with invisible stitching encouraged relaxed shapes, as did tailored jackets with hollowed shoulders and hand-spun tricot jumpers. Outerwear was constructed from supple leather and technical materials, pastel evening wear evoked tonal Mediterranean sunsets and crocheted trucker jackets created soft iterations of a workwear classic. Woven raffia belts, rope-soled slippers and velvet slippers all added to the sense of ease the collection encouraged.
