It has been announced that Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke will score the upcoming remake of Dario Argento’s 1977 cult classic Suspiria, the tale of a ballet school run by witches.

Directed by Luca Guadagnino and starring Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz, and star of the original film Jessica Harper, this new adaptation recently wrapped filming and is currently in post-production. As reported by Variety, Guadgnino said working with Yorke was “a dream come true.” He added: “Our goal is to make a movie that will be a disturbing and transforming experience: for this ambition, we could not find a better partner than Thom.”

Whilst Yorke’s Radiohead bandmate Jonny Greenwood has created music for Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master and There Will be Blood, this will be the first time Yorke has scored a feature film. And he’s got some big boots to fill, following prog-rock band Goblin’s incredible synth masterpiece that soundtracked Argento’s original – take a listen below.
