This season, at a time of global political tension, Lanvin menswear creative director Lucas Ossendrijver armed us with a nihilistic FW17 collection. As models walked in scarves, jackets and hats that read “NOTHING”, the designer’s anti-branding proved one of the season’s most provocative statements, explaining that he “wanted to concentrate on the essence of the design, the construction and proportions.”

Inspired by the sentiment, photographer Tiffany Nicholson and HERO fashion director Gro Curtis captured the collection’s powerful aesthetic in New York for the new issue of HERO.
