On 5th May, Blondie will release their eleventh studio album, Pollinator. To celebrate the release – and a mega gig at London’s Roundhouse on 3rd May – the legendary US band are opening a special pop-up store in Camden market running between April 29th and May 3rd.
Here’s an opportunity to get your mitts on some very exclusive merch, including limited edition vinyls, vintage tees and items designed by artist Shepard Fairey. The pop-up will also exhibit an exclusive photography exhibition by Blondie guitarist-slash-photographer Chris Stein (if you attended his 2014 exhibition at Somerset House, you’ll know first-hand how amazing his images are), showcasing his candid images of 70s and 80s NYC.
Highly anticipated, Debbie Harry and co’s upcoming record sees the band tap an impressive list of collaborators, including Dev Hynes, Sia, the Strokes’ Nick valensi, Charli XCX, Johnny Marr and Joan Jett, and is apparently the last long-player to be recorded at legendary New York studio The Magic Shop (where the likes of Lou Reed, Nirvana and Bowie recorded) before the studio sadly closed it’s doors last spring.
Blondie’s Camden Market pop-up shop and photography exhibition will run 29th April – 3rd May from 11am-7pm at Provender Chalk Farm Rd, NW1 8AH.
