Gucci is to launch an exclusive 43-piece capsule collection on Mr Porter next month. The creative direction comes from Gucci’s chief designer, Alessandro Michele, whose inspiration for the collection stems from “urbanism and self-expression”.

The capsule promises a host of bright, bold and zesty colours with Gucci’s timeless motifs dotted throughout: like the iconic bee, found alongside some newcomers such as the skeleton and the cat. The blueberry-coloured jersey zipped jacket with paisley print and embroidered tiger is a stand out (pictured), channeling the flamboyant attitude Michele has framed for Gucci across his tenure at the Italian luxury house.

The collection will entail a wide variety of ready to wear pieces: five pocket jeans, prep school inspired jackets, trousers, formal suits, sportswear, shoes and plenty of accessories including ties, watches and scarves. Prices are set to range from £140 to £2,030.

Gucci president and CEO Marco Bizzarri said: “We are pleased to build on the success of our exclusive capsule collection for Net-A-Porter last year with a new capsule this time for Mr Porter, whose clients are unquestionably some of the most knowledgeable and sophisticated menswear fashion consumers in the marketplace.”

Stay tuned for news on the full collection, to be released next month.
