Directed by Samuel Rixon, the film documents the Austrian designer putting together his Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood collection. Inspired by his native Austria and his parents’ Klimt reproductions, the collection – which saw Westwood turn model, walking the catwalk (twice) to raucous applause – was a wild celebration of nostalgia underpinned by a forward-thinking agenda (this is Westwood, after all).

Narrated by Westwood, this new video offers an intimate peek into the design process and the themes explored within this collection. “He does what he really wants to do. He doesn’t design to sell something, he wants to discover what he needs to do,” says Westwood praising her husband’s eye for design. “Whatever experience you have with him, he just opens your eyes… he is born with the potential to do something that wouldn’t ever happen if he hadn’t ever been born and I just think he’s an outrageous phenomenon of power, poetry and human achievement.”
