One small step

On Tuesday, legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin took one small step onto the catwalk for designer Nick Graham’s FW17 show during NYFWM.
The show, titled Life on Mars: Fall-Winter 2035, saw Aldrin walk alongside TV presenter and narrator Bill ‘the Science Guy’ Nye in outfits befitting the stylish intergalactic traveller – including metallic bomber jackets and T-shirts bearing the words ‘Get your ass to Mars.’
Aldrin became the second man to walk on the Moon during the historic 1969 spaceflight. Only twelve people in history have ever had the honour. “I’ve walked on the Moon, so how hard can it be to walk in a fashion show,’ Buzz told WWD. ‘Nick’s collection is very Mars-friendly and every astronaut should look their best when they land there.”

Aldrin then told the crowd he was going to have to contact Donald Trump about his spending plans in terms of space travel: “I have to tell the president that exploration inspires more than fixing potholes.”
