Last night during Milan Men’s Fashion Week, Ducati and Diesel unveiled their latest collaboration: the Ducati Diavel Diesel motorbike.

The project was led by Andrea Rosso, Diesel’s Creative Director of Licences, who worked closely with the Ducati design team. Last summer in an interview with HERO, Rosso dropped hints about the partnership whilst explaining his role at the denim fashion house:

“As the Creative Director of the licensing department at Diesel, my job is to translate the Diesel aesthetic to new products, it can be tricky because they are so varied and our approach to perfume will of course be totally different to bikes for example but once you find the right dialogue it is fantastic.”

Inspired by rock ‘n’ roll and fast living, the bike features a hand-brushed stainless steel structure, leather saddle, red accents and a LCD dashboard with vintage digital displays. On the technical and performance side of things, the bike holds a 162 HP Testastretta 11° DS engine combined with the Ducati Safety Pack (ABS and Ducati Traction Control) and Riding Mode – that’s technical speak for ‘fucking fast.’ The wide rear tyre is also more than an aesthetic application of form over function, combined efficacious chassis delivers high precision handling and comfort for peddle to the metal daily use.

Produced in a limited edition run of 666 units, the Ducati Diavel Diesel will go on sale worldwide in April 2017 alongside a biker capsule collection of leather jackets, t-shirts and jog jeans.
