Gucci launches its surreal SS17 advertising campaign, showcasing Alessandro Michele’s kaleidoscopic collection for the house.

Shot by Glen Luchford, the campaign was inspired by Rome; long a hotbed for the creative avant-garde, it continues to be a center for the global contemporary scene. Luchford follows a band of misfit models dressed in 70s-disco suits and gowns plucked from different eras and filtered through Michele’s signature aesthetic, who wonder around the city with exotic beasts. Gucci celebrates the eccentric, the surreal and the bizarre in a cacophony of colour, texture, print and excess.
