Gosha Rubchinskiy has announced that he will show his FW17 show in Kaliningrad, the capital of the Russian province of the same name on the Baltic Sea between Poland and Lithuania on Thursday 12th January

There are few designers whose output reflects their home country as much as Rubchinskiy, post-Soviet culture is woven throughout his designs, from referencing the punk kids of 90s Russia to appropriating the Italian sportswear brands that became a mainstay of every young Russian’s wardrobe. The move marks the first time Rubchinskiy will show in Russia since his debut 2009 trilogy collections were presented in Moscow, and follows last season’s relocation to Florence during Pitti Uomo.
