Louis Vuitton reinterprets its iconic monogram
By Joey Levenson | Fashion | 8 September 2016

Iconic Parisian fashion house Louis Vuitton have capitalised on the booming success of their iconic Monogram, and are releasing an accessory (and footwear) range showcasing a re-interpretation of their iconic motif in shades of grey and black — fitting for the leather look it was inspired by.

As originally seen in their FW16 collection, the pieces include sneakers and leather boots, wallets, bags and backpacks. You’ll also find each piece embellished with a smooth mat finish and metallic detailing, emphasising the brand’s dedication to luxury design.

Historically celebrated as a brand catering to the world of travel, it makes sense that this latest release features four new bag shapes: a Backpack Voyager (a hybrid bag inspired by the Noé Marin) a Messenger Voyager, and two travel styles (the Keepall Voyager & Travel Bag Explorer) – the perfect travel companions.

Whilst the current general consensus between the designers of menswear seems to be dissolving the boundaries of gender, Louis Vuitton claim that this collection will emphasise the “masculinity and character of the collection…thanks to a resolutely masculine canvas”.
