Today, French menswear brand Berluti announced that Columbian designer Haider Ackermann will take over as creative director, replacing Alessandro Sartori, who left the brand earlier this year to rejoin Ermenegildo Zegna.

Effective immediately, Ackermann will look to translate his romantic aesthetic to the LVMH fashion house.“I am very honoured to join Berluti. This house stands for the essence of luxury menswear and embracing this new adventure inspires me,” said Ackermann.

“I am very happy to welcome Haider at Berluti, his talent and creative commitment make him the perfect choice for this position. I am sure that his vision will bring a unique opportunity to Berluti”, said Antoine Arnault, Chief Executive Officer of Berluti.

This latest spin of the designer roundabout adds a further dose of anticipation for the upcoming season as Ackermann will present his first Berluti collection during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January 2017.
