J.W.Anderson join forces with A$AP Rocky for an exclusive men’s capsule collection

It was only a matter of time until A$AP Rocky turned his attention to fashion design, after all this is the self-proclaimed-fashion killa who has an Instagram account dedicated to his closet. Today comes the news that the rapper’s latest dabble in the fashion sphere – following projects with Guess Originals and adidas Originals – comes via a collaboration with London designer J.W.Anderson.

Pairing up to create an exclusive menswear capsule collection set to drop this June, the pairing appears a natural fit considering A$AP Rocky is often seen clad in Anderson’s designs – look no further than his Jukebox Joints video.

“It’s always exciting to collaborate with creatives who wear J.W.Anderson. Rocky is an influential modern artist who has a strong point of view on fashion,” said Jonathan Anderson.

Stamped with a new custom logo (JWA x AWGE), the collection boasts a stellar line-up, from knitted beanies to tracksuit tops with matching bottoms, and those killer teddy faux fur jackets – including Anderson’s FW15 zip ring pull and faux fur features that the fashion-obsessed rapper was keen to implement into the new drop.

The initial spark for a collaboration came after Rocky suggested making a complete suit with one of Anderson’s track jackets. “Jonathan is a designer that sticks to his own instincts and J.W.Anderson has a really unique aesthetic. AWGE is built from the same principles, which is why this collaboration is a perfect fit together,” said A$AP Rocky.

The collection will be available to pre-order online from 9th June and from Monday 13th June at the J.W.Anderson Workshops, 100 Shoreditch High Street, E1 6JQ.
