Harmony Korine deck for Baker Skateboards

Cult director Harmony Korine has turned his eye to skateboard design for a new collaboration with pro skater Dee Ostrander and his Baker Skateboards.

It’s an apt collab, throughout his prolific career –from his work on Larry Clark’s cult classic Kids to Spring Breakers via Gummo – Korine‘s aesthetic frequently pivots on youth and street culture, documenting those on the fringes via his raw and subversive aesthetic.

Korine’s film career is well documented, his artistic ventures lesser so. But he’s a dab hand: just think back to his exhibition at London’s Gagosian gallery in Febuary this year featuring seven-foot psychedelic orbs on canvas, kaleidoscope acid trips that nod back to his vibrant cinematography. His latest undertaking sees the filmmaker create an original artwork customising a 8.0″ x 31.5″ board.

The limited edition Harmony Korine board is available online now for $55.
