Back in December, Troye Sivan released Blue Neighbourhood to much acclaim and thrill from his epic fanbase; a few days ago Sivan followed up with a video release of YOUTH, a track from the album.

Set in a hazy, neon-lit house party, playful vibes are constant tropes throughout the Malia James directed video. Currently holding just under 3,000,000 YouTube views – not bad, hey? – the video acts as a testament to the singer’s unrelenting progression from YouTuber to global performer, with 0-100 aplomb.

We caught up with the young star last year whilst he was busy writing and preparing Blue Neighbourhood. “I got to LA about two weeks ago. I haven’t played live in a really long time,” he admitted at the time. “Not my own music, anyway. I used to sing a lot to shitty backing tracks on YouTube.” And how far he’s come: an acclaimed album, earworm tracks and emotive music video narratives. You can check out the full interview online, here.

Interview and shoot taken from HERO 13: True Blue, out now.
