Take Sir Paul Smith’s tailoring tact, hardwire it with drop mic attitude and you’ve got clothes that’ll take the floor. That’s the SS16 collection, photographed here by Amy Gwatkin in a special shoot for HERO.

Saturated in a palette inspired by friend and customer David Hockney, the collection spotlights contrast: vivid and tonal, metallic and flat, wide and really tight.

It all stems from that show soundtrack, a punk rock bender from The Kinks to Iggy Pop, Jimi Hendrix and The White Stripes, aptly capped with a call to London from The Clash.
