Claire Barrow launches her HIGH FLYERS zine and opens a top secret shop
By Lewis Firth | Fashion | 24 August 2015

London designer Claire Barrow is casting her illustrative aesthetic to paper as a new zine, available for a limited time from her secret pop-up store.

‘HIGH FLYERS’ is the paper embodiment of Barrow’s FW15 vision, with sketches, mood boards and inspirational markers combined on the page and channeling the British youth subcultures and politically charged ideas that inform her collections. It’s this intelligent and intensely personal approach that has generated the designer a devoted following, on local turf via LC:M and the NEWGEN scheme and beyond.

The hidden shop platform is playing host to exclusive, limited-edition designs painted by Barrow herself (compared to previous seasons where graphics have been screen-printed – now that’s special). White, long-sleeved t-shirts are unisex, with hand-painted graphics on the front and back.

Other elements include silver rings decorated with shells, and a limited-edition lambskin-leather trench coat, following suit in a hand-painted manner with Barrow’s signature style. Oh and there’s only one of these in the world, so snap it up and look sharp.

You can purchase Claire Barrow’s zine and range of limited-edition pieces by signing up to the secret shop at her website.
