In a whirlwind announcement, Umit Benan, creative director for Trussardi, has decided
to step down from his role. Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, he said, “I have
just completed my internship at Trussardi. It should be official in a bit.” Benan continued
with, “Thanks to everyone at Trussardi that has worked with me in the past 2 years. We
all need to smile in life. For that we need good energy around us. Sorry, time to move
on.”

The creative direction has been passed on to Gaia Trussardi, trusted creative director for
Tru Trussardi and Trussardi Jeans collections. Ms. Trussardi taking over will strengthen
the evolution of the brand, keeping all aspects of the design in line with the brand’s roots.
While we are sad to see Umit Benan depart, we are excited for what’s to come under
Gaia’s direction.
