Art of Seduction

Haider Ackermann’s SS26 Tom Ford campaign is hot

To call Haider Ackermann’s Tom Ford ‘seductive’ would be to undersell. It’s downright horny. For his SS26 campaign, Ackermann leans further into the language of desire, dialling up the tension.

Photographed by Drew Vickers, the campaign imagery mirrors the atmosphere of the SS26 show: a dramatic, choreographed ode to noir desire. Black stilettos are worn with nothing else – bodies intertwined – as Susie Cave flashes skin beneath a perforated patent green leather trench. Garments are grabbed and tugged, and Tom Ford bags are used to tease.

“The photographic gaze is charged with desire: it draws close, lingers on surfaces, caresses satins, leathers and skin, entices touch,” reads the accompanying text… “the gaze moves around when desire bursts, exposing nobility in the characters that inhabit this vision.”
