New era
Isla Johnston has been announced as the inaugural brand ambassador for Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s new era at Loewe, having first appeared in a teaser campaign for the house last September, and sat front row at the designers’ debut show.
“Becoming a Loewe Brand Ambassador means stepping into the world of fashion with a House full of people I adore!” said Johnston in a statement. “It’s a real honour to witness Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez bringing their visions to life, and to be invited into that journey is incredibly special.”
Having first appeared in The Queen’s Gambit, Johnston has gone on to star opposite Nicolas Cage in The Carpenter’s Son and is currently readying herself to play Joan of Arc in Baz Luhrmann’s highly anticipated upcoming biopic. “There is a ripe freshness to the way Isla approaches the craft of acting, to her way of being in the world, which feels totally in sync with our vision for this House, and the values we would like to convey,” McCollough and Hernandez say of Johnston. “She embodies the Loewe ethos with complete naturalness.”
