The Most Serene
Louise Trotter’s debut campaign for Bottega Veneta has arrived and it’s a Venetian takeover photographed by Juergen Teller. Honouring the house’s roots in Italy’s Veneto region, Teller’s signature lo-fi imagery presents Venice with refreshing restraint, capturing the city with an unembellished lens.
Shot across the Giardini Napoleonici, Palazzo Rocca Contarini Corfù, the Lido and the Angolo Fiorito flower shop, the campaign features models posing dramatically in looks from Trotter’s first collection for the house. References to Venetian figures such as Peggy Guggenheim and Truman Capote anchor the campaign within the city’s artistic and literary history, as well as setting it in a wider conversation with the city’s architectural heritage.
