Demna will be heading to New York to present his first Cruise collection for Gucci, and its a historic occasion. The Italian house’s love affair with New York was first kindled back in 1953, when Gucci opened its first store outside Italy in Manhattan – the first step in the brand’s global domination. “With this upcoming presentation, the House returns to a city that long embodied its spirit of creativity and cultural dialogue,” read an accompanying release, “a place where bold vision and modernity continue to meet and inspire.”

Gucci previously held a Cruise show in New York back in 2015, at the beginning of Alessandro Michele’s tenure, while Demna’s Cruise 2027 show will take place on 16th May, 2026.
