We’d like a stay at Burberry’s winter country house
By Barry Pierce | Fashion | 2 September 2025

We don’t want to jinx it, but summer might finally be over. If the falling leaves and the first rain in months weren’t enough of a clue, Burberry’s Winter 2025 campaign dropping surely seals it. This season, Burberry sets its Winter 2025 campaign at Wolterton Hall, a Thomas Ripley-designed country house in deepest Norfolk. A whole cast of models and famous faces, such as Rupert Everett, Luther Ford and the artist Jeny Howorth, poses throughout the grand hall in front of delicate tapestries, laying on marble staircases, and jumping on the beds that Admiral Nelson himself once tucked himself up in.

“We wanted to bring the collection to life,’ said Daniel Lee, “and to tell the story behind all those incredible textiles.” It all comes together poetically. Burberry’s Winter 2025 collection was if a country house itself had come alive.. Throughout, velvet suits and dresses were patterned like tapestries, leathers were suitably equestrian (for riding around the paddock, naturally), and classic heritage silhouettes found themselves either enlarged or totally skewed.

Keen-eyed viewers will notice key pieces from the collection woven throughout the campaign. The new Bridle bag, for example, takes inspiration from equestrian equipment such as saddles, reins and, of course, bridles, and is styled here with a padded floral coat. The footwear is eclectic, ranging from the rugged Cavalier and Ledger boots, cut in embossed and intarsia leather, to the more lounging-appropriate Cameo slippers, crafted from quilted velvet. The campaign may conjure a weekend in the country, though after this, the city feels very far away indeed.
