Hollywood Noir
Hollywood after dark – a place of neon glow, secret hideaways, and timeless cinematic allure. This is the stage for Amiri’s FW25 campaign, a love letter to the brand’s home city and its noir lore. Told through narrative stills and 35mm short films, the campaign follows a single night in Los Angeles, weaving dream-like vignettes into a vivid portrait of the city after hours. Fronted by Sinners breakout star Miles Caton and Lucky Blue Smith, with cameos from Keith William Richards and Inde Navarrette, it captures LA’s nightlife – the shimmer and seduction. To mark the campaign launch, we sat down with Lucky Blue Smith to talk music, people, and the city that never stops performing.

Amiri’s collection is inspired by LA after-hours, what does the city’s nightlife symbolise to you?
Lucky Blue Smith: To me, LA nightlife is about energy and expression. It’s where fashion, music, and creativity all come together. It feels alive and electric.
How was it being part of the campaign and working with Mike Amiri and his team?
LBS: It was epic. I started going to Amiri shows and working with Mike a couple of seasons ago. I’ve met a lot of designers and creatives in this industry, but there’s something special about Mike and his team and what they are building. It was an honour to be in their campaign and now a part of Amiri’s history.
“LA nightlife is about energy and expression.”
Do you have a favourite piece from the collection?
LBS: It’s hard to pick just one piece from his collection because it feels like they are all made for you individually. But there was this one look from his Fall-Winter 25 show that I loved. It was a mix of sharp tailoring and effortless cool, a brown leather jacket over a striped knit paired with checkered trousers and boots. A masterclass on balancing polished and ease.
What song represents LA nightlife to you?
LBS: That’s a tough one, but if I had to pick, I’d say Riders on the Storm by The Doors.
Is there an icon you associate most with LA nights?
LBS: I think of James Dean, he’s the definition of effortless style and rebellion, that spirit feels like LA nights to me.
