Strike a pose
Courrèges have taken to the streets for their SS26 men’s and women’s pre-collection. In a lookbook that was shot by the models themselves, including Axel Gay, Paul Barge and Apolline Rocco Fohrer, the collection is made up of archetypical styles that blur the lines between casual utility wear and a formal wardrobe. A key feature of the collection is a belt with a fabric-covered buckle, originally from a trench coat, which shows up on the collar of a sporty bubble-cut blouson and the waist of lycra pants. There’s also a mini skort in houndstooth tweed and boxy football kits.
The style of the lookbook reflects the current Mirrors of Paris trend sweeping social media in the French capital, with models taking selfies around the city. Keep an eye out for the new soft-shaped Strip bag, as well as some archive-inspired flats and glove-like boots that revisit a pair of flat boots from 1965.
