“Those afternoons and evenings in LA when the day’s almost done can be magical for skating, the dusk is rolling in and the clouds are setting” – this is when LA-based skater Andrey Tarasov is in his element, cruising through the Hollywood Hills, across canyons, Sunset, and beyond. Skating since he was a kid – first learning on a Sooby Doo board his grandma bought him – it’s in these moments of pure freedom – earphones in, playlist on – that he’s able to truly let go and feel free, channelling his creativity through his movement. Filmed by Gem Hale and soundtracked by LA trio untitled (halo), in the HERO exclusive film above, Andrey takes us on a day skating in his home city, between palm trees and down boulevards as the sun begins to set.
