Fashion | 30 January 2025

Louis Vuitton has agreed a monumentous ten-year official partnership with Formula 1, which will see the Parisian fashion house play an active role at the most iconic races across the world. Louis Vuitton’s presence will be seen through trackside branding and their signature Trophy Trunks, which will be presented during opening ceremonies and on the winner’s podium. The first race in this year’s calendar – which also marks Formula 1’s 75th anniversary – is the Australian Grand Prix, taking place in Melbourne on 16th March.

Louis Vuitton’s Trophy Trunks are a house classic, adapted from the first ‘auto trunks’, produced under the direction of Georges Vuitton (son of Louis Vuitton), they have been present at the world’s most prestigious sporting events, including the Ballon D’Or, FIFA World Cup, and housing the NBA’s Larry O’Brien award. Louis Vuitton’s history with Formula 1 dates back to 2021, when the house designed a bespoke Trophy Trunk for the Grand Prix de Monaco as the ultimate symbol of triumph.

“I am immensely proud of this partnership between Louis Vuitton and Formula 1 with our shared ambition to always strive for innovation, craft and precision,” said Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO, Louis Vuitton. “The synergy of our two worlds is echoed in the savoir faire of our ateliers and garages, artisans, and engineers, while celebrating the outstanding performance of champion drivers around the world who embark on a journey of excellence with every race.”
