Venice beach dreams
Since being founded in 2015 by Francesco Ragazzi, Palm Angels has stayed true to its artistry: elevating LA skater culture through artisan technique. Now available, last season’s SS25 collection marked a continuation and evolution: “The key elements of Palm Angels’ style and expressive power blossom into new and disruptive versions,” read the show notes as Ragazzi blurred the lines between art studio and atelier, placing experimentation at the forefront of silhouettes, details and graphics.

As always, an LA spirit led the way as sensibilities stretching the Venice Beach broadwalk to the Hollywood Hills were adapted to Palm Angels’ signatures. Palm Tree landscapes became either black watercolour prints across tie-dye, cast with faded sunset/rising sun tones, or reimagined in intricate sequin embellishment across a varsity-style jacket – mirroring that heatwave Cali shimmer. Classic 50s pin-ups were modernised through Palm Angels iconography – angel wings, snake and dice – hand-painted on the back of a leather biker, while leisurewear was crafted with the sophistication of tailoring; front-zip trousers creating kick-flare shapes. Ragazzi continues to pay tribute to the subcultural scenes that formed the brand, elevating this spirit through expressive craft.
