9 December 2024

Following Dries Van Noten’s emotional goodbye at his final show last season, now comes news of his successor: Julian Klausner.

Promoting from within, the 33-year-old Belgian has worked as head of the brand’s women’s studio designer since 2018 having graduated in fashion design from Brussels’ renowned visual arts school La Cambre in 2016 and worked as a junior designer at Maison Margiela before joining Dries Van Noten. Klausner will be in charge of both men’s and women’s wear for the house and will present his first womenswear collection on 5th March during Paris Fashion Week.

“I have complete confidence in Julian’s creativity and vision,” Dries Van Noten said in a statement. “He is not only a talented designer but also a clear choice to take over after my departure. His deep understanding of the brand and its values will ensure a seamless transition and a bright future.”

“I am beyond thrilled to oversee the upcoming seasons as we begin the next chapter for this house,” Krausner said. “The incomparable legacy that Dries is leaving behind is monumental, serving as an endless source of precious inspiration. I look forward to embarking on new ambitious challenges while honoring the heritage we all cherish.”
