The first scene of Jeff Nichols’ The Bikeriders sees Austin Butler’s character Benny get attacked in a bar for refusing to remove his colours (ie. his biker jacket proudly decorated with The Vandals motorcycle club logo). Throughout the film, Nichols’ vision highlights how essential the right clothing was to counterculture bike culture in the 60s/70s – and through to today.

Committed to staying true to history, under the guidance of costume designer Erin Benach, original leather jacket and motorcycle apparel brand Schott NYC were brought onboard to meticulously reproduce well-worn, customised club jackets and handmade patches worn by Butler, Tom Hardy and the rest of the cast. Bringing the film to life, Schott NYC has also crafted an exclusive limited edition jacket directly inspired by the D-pocket leather jacket worn by The Vandals motorcycle club leader Johnny (played by Tom Hardy), limited to 100 pieces.
