Elton John: musician, showman, art aficionado.

Fragile Beauty, an exhibition opening at the V&A this week, is a collection of over 300 rare prints from the collection of Elton John and David Furnish. Selected from their collection of over 7,000 images, the photographs (many of which will be on public display for the first time) are era-defining images which explore the connection between strength and vulnerability inherent in the human condition.

Practically every major photographer of the 20th and 21st century will make an appearance in the show. Robert Mapplethorpe, Cindy Sherman, Diane Arbus, Sally Mann, Ai Weiwei, Carrie Mae Weems, Tyler Mitchell, Horst P. Horst, Irving Penn, Herb Ritts, Tom Bianchi, Peter Hujar, and David LaChapelle to name but a few.

Tickets can be booked for Fragile Beauty here.
