Illuminations
Hedi Slimane has introduced a new fragrance to the Celine Haute Parfumerie candle range: Illuminations.
Taking its name from an 1886 poem by French poet Arthur Rimbaud (his surname titles another Celine candle), Illuminations is inspired by Slimane’s years living in California and specifically as a tribute to the ancient ingredient, incense. In his Olfactory Journal, Slimane describes the scent as: “Psychedelic incense, the electrical dissonance of the fuzz’s guitars, revive the liturgical and decadent atmosphere of California nights.” This evocative atmosphere manifests across deep, warm notes of cistus labdanum, birch and cedarwood.
