Louis Vuitton [Extended]
Louis Vuitton acolytes rejoice! The legendary house is planning on lifting the curtain and allowing us exclusive access to the house’s most valued players on a brand new podcast hosted by YouTuber Loïc Prigent. The podcast, titled Louis Vuitton [Extended], will let us get to know the creative minds of the Maison, from Nicolas Ghesquière and Pharrell Williams, to master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud and artistic director of watches and jewellery Francesca Amfitheatrof.
A bi-monthly, 20 to 40 minute deep dive into the runnings of the house, the podcast will offer a look at the many cultural projects from the Maison, such as the collaboration between chef Arnaud Donckele and pastry chef Maxime Frédéric at the Louis Vuitton restaurant in Saint-Tropez.
In the opening Louis Vuitton [Extended] episode, Loïc Prigent talks with Pharrell Williams about his first Men’s Spring-Summer Fashion Show (remember it? Of course you do) as Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director. In the podcast, Pharrell opens up about his sources of inspiration, the creation of the show that lit up the Pont-Neuf, and much more. The episode is also home to an exclusive interview with Bishop Ezekiel Williams, Pharrell’s uncle, who helms the Voices on Fire choir that rounded off the Fashion Show in a storm of emotions with their song JOY (Unspeakable).
Louis Vuitton [Extended] is available for free on all audio streaming platforms: Deezer, Amazon Music, Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube, Apple Podcasts and Podcast Addict. Listen to the first episode here.
