Everyone say thank you Jonathan Anderson — Loewe‘s FW23 campaign is out and centre stage are Jamie Dornan and Omar Apollo. The campaign, which is photographed by David Sims, is a “study in character.” Reduction is the theme, with the subtleties of gesture and gaze taking precedence.

Sparse, semi-constructed sets surround Dornan and Apollo as their gestured poses carry the campaign. As a result, the clothing stands out, popping against the draped sheeting and the blank floors. The pictures stand in homage to the artist Julian Nguyen, whose work was a direct inspiration to the collection, and his interest in the works of the Old Masters.

The campaign also works in harmony with the womenswear campaign, connecting the season through a shared vision.
