With the 76th edition of Cannes Film Festival in full swing, last night saw Hedi Slimane host a special Celine dinner at the city’s Hotel du-Cap-Eden-Roc. Inside the historic Riviera resort, acclaimed figures from the worlds of film, fashion and music gathered, dressed in Slimane’s alluring FW23 collection. The French Riviera has become Slimane’s most recent source of inspiration: the designer has relocated from LA to Ramatuelle, and presented recent Celine collections backdropped by the coastal location.

Celine mainstays Kaia Gerber, Suzanne Lindon and Lisa led the guestlist, alongside a pool of talented young actors including Jack Dylan Grazer, Griffin Gluck, Noah Jupe, Myha’la Herrold, Joe Alwyn, Esme Creed Miles, Grace Van Dien and Earl Cave, who recently fronted the house’s menswear collection. Cult actor Michael Pitt also made an appearance, dressed in an all-black suit, as did musicians Future and Jehnny Beth. Inside, guests dined and were treated to a live performance from Jacob Slater, aka Wunderhorse.
