Celine are bringing summer to London via a special Plein Soleil capsule collection pop-up at Harrods.

Translated as Purple Noon, Plein Soleil is the title of René Clément’s 1960 adaptation of The Talented Mr Ripley, and the collection mirrors the film’s Riviera mindset – and that of Hedi Slimane’s La Collection de Saint-Tropez SS23 collection, inspired by “the eternal allure of the French Riviera and the sophisticated nonchalance of Saint-German-des-Prés.”

Exploring the idea of seaside retreat and artisan craft, bags are handwoven in raffia, and suede sandals are essential footwear alongside sunglasses and jewellery. But if you want to take things one step further, why not treat yourself to a Celine hammock decorated in the house’s Triomphe logo, a set of beach rackets, a wicker picnic box or a branded deck chair – so everyone knows it’s yours and only yours. Bamboo fans will keep you cool and Celine hair slides will keep your bangs out of your eyes when going for a tranquil dip. Excuse us for a second while we book a one-way ticket to Riviera bliss.

Celine’s Plein Soleil Harrods pop-up runs from 17th May – 14 June. Celine will also be opening a dedicated permanent Celine Haute Parfumerie space in Harrods on June 14th.
