MSGM are getting involved with Frieze London, presenting a special installation by Italian-born, London-based artist Guendalina Cerruti at the brand’s London flagship store.

Titled, Beaded Cages and Beaded Crowns, the work is formed by four cages which support four iconic headgears: the royal crown, a jester’s hat, a spined crown and a baseball cap. Exploring themes of identity and social roles, each cage and their respective hat refers to an “ordering system through which we explore our world, the visible and invisible structures that identity us…” Each cage and hat is adorned with colourful, decorative beads as a symbol of youthful self-expression and creative freedom that breaks free of prescribed roles.
