The Menu

See Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult have a meal to die for

There’s a real appetite for shows and films about food at the minute, specifically chefs. Whether you prefer the immaculate beauty of Chef’s Table, the tense pressure of Stephen Graham in Boiling Point or the equally stressful series The Bear, it seems that we just can’t get enough of seeing behind those kitchen doors.

A new film by Mark Mylod [Succession, Entourage] continues this theme. Titled The Menu, the initial trailer – released today – sees a young couple (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult) travel to a remote, coastal island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the unnerving chef (Ralph Fiennes) has prepared a lavish menu – “with some shocking surprises.” Between the delicate courses of jus, foam and gel, the meal descends into something you definitely expect to find on the menu at a five-star establishment, as the chef’s propensity towards theatrical storytelling turns very sinister.

The Menu is out 18th November, check out the trailer below.
