The Future Is Now

Off-White™ are now accepting cryptocurrency in-store

Off-White™, the pioneering US fashion house founded by Virgil Abloh, has announced they’re officially joining the crypto revolution – at select flagship stores.

Yes, you heard that right. The brand is joining a growing legion of fashion houses intent on exploring all the possibilities and new retail experiences the Metaverse has to offer. Starting in three of their brick-and-mortar European flagships, Off-White stores in Paris, London and Milan will now accept cryptocurrency payments as official legal tender, with Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP) and USD Coin (USDC) amongst the mix of wallets being catered to.

So how exactly does this work? Secure cryptocurrency transactions are processed through the LUNU POS terminal, which effectively figures out the crypto-to-fiat exchange rate at the time of purchase. The terminal itself is compatible with multiple crypto wallets, from Tether (USDT) to Binance Coin (BNB), and requires only a scannable QR code to process the payment, meaning it’s never been easier to grab a pair of Virgil sunglasses or baby blue Out Of Office sneakers with your online cash. Off-White’s service also offers no payment limit on such transactions, meaning you can literally shop till you drop.

The move marks the beginning of an exciting new era for the brand, and one that looks to an increasingly digital future and Web 3.0 technologies. Welcome to the future, shoppers.
