Holiday in the sun
Marking the opening of Frieze Los Angeles, MATCHESFASHION are holding a curated programme of installations and events at its Beverly Hills pop-up inside Simon House guided by the title, ‘New History Makers’ – celebrating contemporary, diverse voices making their mark.
Alongside an edit of established and emerging designers, famed tattoo artist Dr Woo will hold a dinner to launch his exclusive Curated by Edit and, in anticipation of his new book Everything is Permanent, features on MATCHESFASHION’S Voices from Frieze podcast. Four other LA artists will also feature Amanda Hunt, AJ Girard, Quil Lemons and Gabriella Sanchez. Installations by Alexander McQueen and the L’Object Haas brothers decorate the space and Fatma Shaheen, CEO and founder of Skin Design London, will be on hand to offer her exclusive range of innovative skincare techniques and products to leave you feeling fresh as ever.
Elsewhere, you’ll find a gallery space featuring vessels by twelve contemporary and emerging artists curated in collaboration with Alexander May, founder and creative director of SIZED – an initiative launched during the pandemic that re-evaluates how we engage with our spaces through art and design.
If you’re in LA – for art or for fun – immerse yourself in the MATCHESFASHION world, running until Friday 18th February.
